Burlesque Throne sits somewhere between sculpture, mosaic and functional object. Spirals of red, orange and violet glass follow the sweeping curves of the chair, creating a continuous movement of colour, light and reflection across its surface.
Bold, theatrical and deliberately exuberant, the piece draws on the bohemian spirit of burlesque — individuality, excess and the freedom to take up space. Yet it is not an artwork intended to be admired only from a distance. It is made to be inhabited, inviting the person who sits in it to become, for a moment, part of the work itself.
Handcrafted in glass and mirror mosaic over a strong, weather-resistant structure, Burlesque Throne is suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings and safely supports more than 150 kg.
