Christina Ayer

IChristina Ayer is a painter, mosaicist, and writer with a BA from McGill University, blending decades of experience and self-taught innovation across painting and mosaic mediums.

She employs abstract expressionist techniques—often gestural and lyrical—utilizing mixed media to create tactile, multi-sensory works that challenge imposed structures.

Her art radiates a yearning for spiritual awakening and authentic truth, inviting viewers to experience freedom, play, and unchained creativity that transcends ordinary perception.

Christina’s works invite observers to examine the chains imposed by society and to discover the potential connection between earthly existence and the spiritual dimension. In this way, her art is not just a visual representation but an invitation to explore one’s higher self and transcend cultural and personal limitations.

Christina has a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University (1st class hons) and studied under Luciana Notturni in Ravenna. Her art work has been shown in exhibitions around the world, including Italy, the USA, UK and France.

She lives near Lake Garda with her husband and four children.
